Meet GARY
OWNER
As Gary developed his pecan orchard and nursery business, he also became involved in leadership roles in the pecan industry. He was selected Alabama Pecan Grower of the Year by the Alabama Pecan Growers Association in 1999. He served as president of the association and continues an active role on their board of directors today. His leadership expanded from state and regional positions, to national offices, when he was elected president of the Southeastern Pecan Growers Association as well as president of the National Pecan Growers Association.
Gary also served on the National Pecan Council as its Southeastern grower representative. The National Pecan Council is an organization representing the interests of the entire U.S. pecan industry–growers, shellers, and processors.
Meet BILLIE JO
OWNER
Billie Jo and Gary have been married since 1990 and she's been assisting with the pecan farm ever since!
In addition to being a farmer’s wife, Billie Jo is also a full-time CPA with over 35 years of experience at the accounting firm Giles Underwood & Wilson. There, she is one of three partners, working alongside her sister, Norma Giles, and nephew, Eric Wilson.
Meet JODIE
RETAIL & PERSONNEL MANAGER
Jodie grew up helping on the farm and now runs the retail and social media sides of the operation.
As a graduate of The University of Alabama, she has a background (and many years of experience) in the retail and promotional marketing industries.
Jodie served as the Alabama State Pecan Queen both in 2007 and 2010 and is the former Secretary for the Alabama Pecan Grower’s Association.
